How to make a hourly invoice
- Enter your details and your client's details.
- Add one line per task or per week, with the hours and your hourly rate.
- Add tax if you charge it.
- Mention the billing period or attach a timesheet reference in the notes.
- Click Download PDF.
How do I invoice for hours worked?
List each task or time period on its own line, with the number of hours and your rate. Show the billing period, for example "1–15 October", and keep a timesheet in case the client asks for details.
Can I bill partial hours?
Yes. Enter decimals like 1.5 or 0.25 hours. Many freelancers bill in 15-minute (0.25 h) increments.
Is this hourly invoice generator really free?
Yes. There's no account, no watermark, and no limit on normal use. Your business details are saved in your browser so the next document is faster. To make the PDF, the document is sent to our server, rendered in memory and discarded. We never store it.
